MUSEUM CLOSED

It is with great regret that the Trustees have decided that Chapel Bay Fort & Museum will not be opening yet.

With many of our volunteers at increased risk from Covid-19 due to age and/or health issues, it is inadvisable for them to be exposed to the general public in front of house activities. In addition, our display spaces have numerous “pinch points” that are difficult to negotiate whilst maintaining reasonable distancing.

Consequently we do not have enough staff to operate the site in a welcoming, enjoyable and safe manner.
